Our Goal

One of the association’s specific goals is to continue organizing and carrying out biennial conferences that bring together scholars, media professionals, and students whose interest converge in the research, teaching, and/or practice of Latino-oriented media, audiences and markets.

Our Mission

The mission of this association shall be to promote the study of Latino media and marketing research in universities, colleges, institutes, centers, and organizations in the United States and throughout the Spanish speaking nations. By doing so, the organization and its members shall enhance Latino media across the hemisphere and the world.

ALMMACR will also support the ongoing publication of the International Journal of Hispanic Media, published by Texas Tech University’s Thomas Jay Harris Institute for Hispanic and International Communication.

We are all concerned about the future of American education. But as I tell my students, you do not enter the future - you create the future. The future is created through hard work.
